George Jones · Founder of BrandBildr
Everything I learned, not gatekept.

I'm George. I started train.VOLT with an idea and my own money. No investors, no agency, no safety net. Over two and a half years I took it from nothing to the largest market share of CrossFit grips in the UK, grew it into an international brand known for how strong the brand was, and then sold it as a going concern.
I did every part of it myself: the name and identity, finding suppliers and getting product right, the website, the content, the ads, the customer service, the numbers and finally the sale. I made the mistakes so you don't have to.
Most of what I learned, I had to work out the hard way, because the people who knew wouldn't share it. I don't want it to be like that for the next generation of founders. So ask me. If I know, I'll tell you.

How I work
Three things I hold to.
Direct
Clear advice, plainly said. No filler and no over-explaining.
Considered
Every decision has a reason, from the typeface to the price point.
Uncluttered
One idea at a time, done properly. Restraint is a design choice.
I bring in a small network of designers, content creators and specialists when a project needs them. You deal with me throughout.
For founders
A brand consultant for founders, who's been one.
Most brand consultants have advised founders. I've been one. I know what it's like to build something with your own money, where every pound has to work and there's no one to hand the hard decisions to.
That's who BrandBildr is for: founders, creators and small businesses who want direction before speed. We start with the foundations (who you're for, what makes you different, how you sound), then build the identity, website and content on top. You deal with me throughout.
